Arsenal set to make €90 million move for James Rodriguez
James Rodriguez has become one of the most prominent names in the transfer market yet again, as his current two-year loan spell from Real Madrid to Bayern Munich ends at the end of the season.
The Bundesliga giants are yet to propose an extension, putting James’ future in doubt. If reports from all around Europe are to be believed, the talented 27-year-old is fancied by several top clubs including Premier League giants, Manchester United, Liverpool and Serie A champions, Juventus.
However, latest reports from claim that Premier League side, Arsenal, is set to join the competition. The report suggests that Unai Emery rates the midfielder highly and that Arsenal are planning to beat their competition with a massive bid said to be worth €90 million.
The Colombian star is managed by super agent, Jorge Mendes, who is expected to help James assess his options, and help the star decide on his future.
Ivan Perisic gives Manchester United fresh hope
The transfer rumours surrounding Ivan Perisic and Manchester United, in particular, refuse to die down. The Red Devils were heavily linked with a move for the Croatian winger in the past, but no move ultimately materialised.
Now, however, the 29-year-old seems to have rekindled the rumour pot with his recent remarks. Perisic spoke to the press ahead of Inter Milan’s UEFA Champions League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
When questioned about a potential move, Perisic said:
“I have always said that [playing in the Premier League] is my dream. In football everything is possible, we will see in the future. Now, I’m focusing on Inter.”
Perisic’s refusal to rule out a move is bound to fuel the flames and give Manchester United fresh hope of signing him in the near future.
Juventus lead United, Bayern, Barca and others in race for Jean-Clair Todibo
18-year-old Jean-Clair Todibo might be relatively unheard of at the moment, but those who have watched him will tell you that he’s undeniably a rising star. The youngster plays for Toulouse as a centre-back, and has only made 10 senior appearances for the Ligue 1 club.
However, his performances have reportedly caught the eye of a plethora of clubs. According to reports from , as many as 9 clubs – Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Schalke and Lyon – are interested in signing him.
The report claims that Todibo will not sign a new contract with Toulouse as he eyes a move to a bigger club. The report also suggests that the 18-year-old’s desire to team up with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Giorgio Chiellini has put Juventus in the lead for his signature.
Sergio Busquets responds to Manchester City transfer rumours
Sergio Busquets began his footballing career at Barcelona, having graduated from the club’s youth team. Since then, the Spaniard has won a staggering total of 28 major trophies with the club. Notably, he was inducted into Barcelona’s first team by the manager at the time, Pep Guardiola.
Over the past few days, there has been plenty of talk surrounding Busquets and a potential move away from the club – to Manchester City, where Guardiola is now in charge.
In light of these developments, the 30-year-old midfielder decided to break his silence and respond to the rumours. While he admitted that he would like to end his career at Barcelona, he also heaped praise on Guardiola, and left the door open on a possible move with his remarks.
According to reports from , Busquets spoke to Diario Sport about the matter and said:
“I have a special appreciation because of what he’s meant for my career, his way of reading games, understand football, giving you the keys, transmitting (his ideas). He’s unique.
“I said that I would think about it (leaving Barcelona for Pep) and it’s normal that I have him in mind because of his importance on my career.
However, Busquets was also quick to add that it didn’t necessarily mean he desired a move away from Barcelona.
“I have never seen myself anywhere else. The Guardiola thing I said not because I saw myself anywhere else, but because I should have him in mind, as is normal.”
Chelsea consider January move for unhappy Isco
Earlier this week, it had been reported that Isco has grown extremely unhappy with his situation of limited playing time at Real Madrid, as well as his relationship with the new manager, Santiago Solari.
The matter seems to have gotten worse after Isco was left out of the team that took on Roma in last night’s UEFA Champions League encounter between the two sides.
Latest reports from claim that Isco’s relationship with Solari is a ‘time bomb’ and that Premier League side, Chelsea, could look to give Isco an opportunity to leave the club with an offer in January.
Spanish journalist, Eduardo Inda, also collaborated the sentiment as he said:
“They [Real Madrid] consider that Isco is not involved in the group, that he is doing his thing, that he is having problems with his weight… so he is thinking of going to the Premier League.
“He has an offer from Chelsea and another from Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
The 26-year-old is a fantastic player and acquiring him would certainly be a massive shot in the arm for Chelsea, as they look to fight against intense competition in the Premier League this season.
